    Mr. Arnett graduated magna cum laude from Western Kentucky University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. That year he joined the independent auditing firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells and worked in their New York Executive and Cincinnati offices. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio and New York.

    In 1977, he joined Armco Inc. where he advanced to corporate controller in 1982.

    In 1984, he joined Bethlehem Steel Corporation and was elected controller. He was elected vice president and controller in 1986. In addition to the traditional corporate wide responsibilities for financial and cost accounting and analysis, his responsibilities include taxes, internal audit, employee benefit plan accounting and employment cost accounting and analysis.

    Mr. Arnett attended the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School in 1988. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Corporate Reporting of the Financial Executives Institute. He has served on the Special Committee on Financial Reporting of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and on the boards and as an officer of selected civic and professional organizations. He previously served as President of Historic Bethlehem Incorporated and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Discovery Center for Science and Technology and the Historic Bethlehem Partnership in Bethlehem, PA.
