Supplier Diversity Program

Our Diversity policy is broad based and defined as follows: ISG/Bethlehem's strength and future success are based on key elements including the diversity of its work force and supplier base. Bethlehem takes seriously its equal employment, social responsibility and purchasing opportunity goals. The Corporation has a long-standing tradition of contributing meaningfully to an improvement in the quality of life in communities in which our operations are located.

That strong tradition continues today. ISG/Bethlehem's Vision is to Be The Premier Steel Company and to be acknowledged as the best. Bethlehem will work toward this Vision by achieving a set of objectives, among which is to Be a Good Citizen. This objective is reflected in the philosophy and broad scope of our corporate Supplier Diversity Program. A major goal of our Supplier Diversity Program is to also help achieve the Diversity target objectives of our key customers.

Bethlehem's program also extends to other areas. Management has expressed its commitment to responsible corporate behavior aimed at enhancing work force and community diversity, and to assisting the economically and socially disadvantaged in our local operations communities and beyond. Employees will support Bethlehem's Diversity Program in discharging their corporate responsibilities, and are strongly encouraged to extend this support in their own personnel lives as well.
