SLEEKaz is a new, patented* coated sheet steel product from Bethlehem Steel that combines the appearance of a uniform, spangle-free, metallic surface finish with the long - term corrosion resistance of an Al-Zn alloy coating. The result is an innovative new product that is perfect for a variety of applications, from architectural cladding to household appliances. SLEEKaz coated sheet offers the look of aluminum or stainless steel for a fraction of the cost.

SLEEKaz coated sheet is perfect for those applications requiring a smooth, silvery, metallic look. The uniform surface of this innovative new product can be an attractive substitute for aluminum, stainless steel, and terne-coated stainless steel in most architectural applications. The smooth metal provides a sustainable building design alternative to four-coat silver-colored metallic painted products. There is no need to compromise on corrosion resistance-SLEEKaz coated sheet is guaranteed with a 30-year corrosion warranty.

SLEEKAZ sheet - available in a variety of finishes

SLEEKaz sheet offers an attractive alternative to stainless steel or aluminum finishes. The smooth uniform metallic finish of SLEEKaz sheet is the perfect look for the new millennium. A brushed SLEEKaz sheet appearance is also available. In addition, a number of embossed textures can be achieved with SLEEKaz coated sheet.

All SLEEKaz material will be provided with a clear acrylic coating on the surface. The acrylic protects the metallic surface from fingerprints, stains and discoloration due to handling and storage. The acrylic coating can also provide dry lubricity for forming operations so that no oils need to be applied during the forming process. We are also investigating Cr-free organic coatings, wear resistant clear coats, and clear coats that meet FDA approval for kitchens and refrigeration.

Warranty

SLEEKaz will be conditionally warranted against rupture, structural failure or perforation due to corrosion for 30 years when used for building construction applications.
