Bethlehem Steel: Public Policy

Make Your Voice Heard:
Your voice matters and counts. The International Trade Commission (ITC) has unanimously voted that the domestic steel industry has been harmed by unfairly traded imports. The next step is to put in place a remedy - the "teeth" to the ruling by the ITC. On December 19, The ITC forwarded its recommendations to President Bush on what remedy would be appropriate in the ongoing Section 201 steel trade investigation. According to law, it is now up to the President to decide what remedy, if any, will be implemented. Click here to write to President Bush and urge him to take strong action against the massive levels of cheap foreign steel that are jeopardizing your future. For background on the Section 201 trade investigation, please see the links on the right half of this page.
