Employee Fatally Injured at Bethlehem's Conshohocken Operation

    For Immediate Release

    BETHLEHEM, Pa., January 3, 2003 - John C. Wickert, 42, was fatally injured this morning at the Conshohocken, Pa., operations of Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

    Mr. Wickert was injured at about 6:30 a.m. in the rolling mill when struck by an overhead crane. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Montgomery County Coroner. Mr. Wickert was employed at the steel rolling mill since 1993 and was a craneman.

    A resident of East Norton, Pa., he is survived by his wife and children.
