    For Immediate Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa., July 19, 2000 - For its innovative use of facility management software, Bethlehem Steel Corporation facility management received awards of excellence from ARCHIBUS, Inc., the nation's leading automation and infrastructure management system software.

The awards were presented at the fifth annual users conference for ARCHIBUS/FM held in Boston, Mass.

Bethlehem Steel received the distinguished user award for the facility management automation practices and sustained leadership in its implementation to assist in the management of the Martin Tower complex, Bethlehem Steel's corporate headquarters, that also houses Dun & Bradstreet's Lehigh Valley workforce. Bethlehem also received an application excellence award which recognizes Bethlehem's innovative and multiple uses of the software to manage the complex and the services provided to the 2,600 people working there.

Thomas E. Kobrick, general manager, buildings operations and services, received the awards for Bethlehem Steel while attending the conference to present a paper on its implementation. He has used and customized the ARCHIBUS/FM software to catalog and monitor such diverse aspects of the building as space allocations and tracking all building maintenance requests, to employee and vehicle security matters to the status of fire extinguishers and prevention systems.

Bethlehem Steel began using facility management software in 1995 first to plan space allocations and during office relocations and later to encompass many other aspects of building management to ensure safe and healthful work environments for Bethlehem Steel and Dun & Bradstreet employees.
