BETHLEHEM, Pa., December 22, 1997 -- Bethlehem Steel Corporation confirmed that it has been advised by Lukens Inc. that Lukens has received an acquisition proposal from Allegheny Teledyne Incorporated. Bethlehem said that it has not had an opportunity to review the proposal and that it will be evaluating the situation.
