The 80-inch tandem mill maintains precise control of thickness and surface quality, using a unique, closed-loop system to automatically adjust the tension and speed of the strip passing through the mill, as well as the gap and force of the mill rolls. This produces cold-rolled sheet with a superior consistency that helps give customers a competitive edge in both performance and cost.
