Jackie Brova to General Manager, Human Resources

BETHLEHEM, Pa., August 4, 2000 � Jacquelin J. Brova has been appointed general manager, human resources, at Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

Ms. Brova is returning to Bethlehem after serving, since 1998, as manager, human resources and administration, for Bethlehem Steel's plate operations in Coatesville, Pa. In this new position, she will be responsible for developing strategic human resource, benefit and compensation policy. She will report to Dorothy L. Stephenson, vice president, human resources.

A native of Scenery Hill, Pa., Ms. Brova received a bachelor of arts degree in industrial and labor relations from The Pennsylvania State University in 1975 and a master of business administration degree from Moravian College in 1992. She also attended the executive management program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.

She joined Bethlehem Steel in 1975 as a member of the Loop Course management training program. Ms. Brova first worked at Bethlehem Steel's mining operations in West Virginia in industrial relations and was transferred to the corporate headquarters in 1980. Since then, she has served in employee benefits and union relations capacities, including manager, union relations, in 1994 and general manager, compensation and benefits services, in 1997.

Professionally, Ms. Brova is a member of the Penn State Labor Studies and Industrial Relations Advisory Board and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries. She is a 1994 graduate of Leadership Lehigh Valley and is a member of the board of directors of Brandywine Hospital.

She and her husband reside in Hanover Township, Northampton County.
