BETHLEHEM, Pa., April 4, 1996 -- Bethlehem Steel Corporation said today that the base prices for sheet products will be increased effective with shipments June 30, 1996. The increases will be $15 per ton for hot rolled sheets; $25 per ton for cold rolled sheets, and $35 per ton for coated sheets.

Bethlehem also said today that the composite price for strip mill plates will be increased by $15 per ton effective with shipments June 30, 1996.

In today's announcement, Bethlehem said: "Our pricing decision has considered the current demand for steel sheet and plate products and the long term needs of our customers."
