The Burns Harbor Division is America�s second-largest integrated steel producer. With its principal operations located on the shores of Lake Michigan in northwest Indiana, about 40 miles southeast of Chicago, Burns Harbor lies in the very heart of the largest steel-consuming region in the United States.
Burns Harbor is capable of producing annually 4.4 million tons of hot-rolled sheet, cold-rolled sheet, corrosion-resistant coated sheet and steel plates. It is a major supplier of sheet and plate products to the automotive, service center, construction, machinery and appliance markets. The Division operates a galvanizing line in Lackawanna, N.Y., and participates in joint ventures that own and operate an electro-galvanizing and hot dip coating facilities in Walbridge and Columbus, Ohio.
