Bethlehem has a long and proud history of vessel construction, with more than 3,000 new vessels to its credit. BethShip's last new vessel was delivered in 1991. Since then, the yard has focused on repair and conversion. More than 1.2 million square feet of shops and hundreds of skilled men and women are available around-the-clock to meet any challenge.

Ship Conversion
Bethlehem has a wealth of experience with conversions of all types, including "jumboizing" T-2 tankers, double-hull conversions, cruise ship modifications, and complex conversions of container ships for Sealift mobilization.

Sparrows Point Yard provides the maritime industry with a full range of cost-effective repair and maintenance services. Experienced mechanics in all shipyard trades are eager to provide quality workmanship seven days a week to meet your schedule.

• Graving Dock measuring 1,200 feet by 200 feet (365 meters by 61 meters) for ships up to 300,000 dwt
• Floating Drydock with lifting capacity of up to 40,000 tons with clear width between wingwalls of 140 feet (42.7 meters) and capable of docking vessels up to 950 feet (289 meters) in length
• Two full-service outfitting piers provide nearly 3,000 feet of berthing space
